Last weekend I was happy to participate in the Lisgar Resident Appreciation Day. Jointly hosted by the Rotary Club of Mississauga-Meadowvale, Mississauga-Streetsville MP Brad Butt and Mississauga Ward 10 City Councillor Sue McFadden, the event was a celebration of the Lisgar community, bringing together local businesses, community groups and residents. While the event was originally planned to be outside at Lisgar Fields but had to be moved inside due to poor weather, no one let the weather get in the way of having a good time. There was entertainment, plenty of food and lots of fun was had by all.
While I was there representing the Rotary Club of Mississauga-Meadowvale, two other organizations that I am part of were also there, The Lake Wabukayne Stewardship Committee and Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate.
Despite the poor weather, I think the Lisgar Resident Appreciation Day was a huge success and I enjoyed participating and meeting many people from the local Lisgar community.
