I really like Family Day! So much that it ranks right up there with Christmas as my favourite holiday.
What’s not to like about a holiday that has no obligations, no traveling, no presents, no hoopla? It’s about one thing, family. There’s no traditions to follow or places to be. Just spending time with the most important people in my life. Earlier this week Steph and I were planning a bunch of things to do this weekend in an attempt to keep the kids busy, but in the end we realized that our attention was enough. The kids just wanted to hang with their parents.
So family day 2014 was a weekend of video games, swimming, hide and seek, lego and snow fort building. No work, just fun.
We went swimming in Oakville on Saturday afternoon. The kids loved the slide.
