I’m happy to say that despite a malfunctioning iPod, a tempting chocolate cheese cake and an “Arctic Vortex”, I managed to successfully complete week 1 of my fitness challenge. While initially I thought my biggest challenge would be getting up at 5am to go to the gym, surprisingly it wasn’t that hard- I guess when you cut out wine and beer you really do sleep better, who would of known ;-).

Aside from working out 6 days this week (and being sore as hell), my 2 notable victories where that I managed 5 meals a day and I also signed up with a nutritional consultant who is running a program at my office. We had our first meeting on Wednesday where she took our measurements and explained the program. While I didn’t start her program yet, tomorrow is grocery shopping day so I’ll be good to go on Monday. That’s it for now, I’m going to enjoy the rest of my weekend and maybe have one of the light beers that are sitting in my fridge. Just don’t tell my nutrition coach!
