Hurontario is a large residential community located just north of the Mississauga City Centre. Built mostly from the 1980’s to 2000’s, Hurontario offers plenty of options for housing with great access to transit and amenities.
Homes in Hurontario are in high demand due to it’s great location and access to amenities.
The planned Mississauga LRT that will run along Hurontario will definitely increase the desire for this location and have a positive effect on property values.
Hurontatio is a cosmopolitan neighbourhood reflective of Mississauga’s diverse population.
Hurontario is a large residential neighbourhood with a large concentration of 1980’s style suburban homes. There are newer homes built off of Barondale Dr in the early 2000’s and there’s higher density high rises and town houses located closer to Hurontario St.
Hurontario is home to Mississauga’s largest and biggest sporting venues. Mississauga Iceland is large, 4 rink facility dedicated to ice sports such as hockey and figure skating.
The Hershey Centre in Mississauga’s premier venue for sporting and entertainment events and is home to both the OHL’s Mississauga Steelheads and the 905 Raptors. The facility has also hosted big name concerts and events.
Hurontario has a number of outdoor parks and walking trails in the neighbourhood. The Frank McKechnie Community Centre has a library, swimming pool, fitness facilities and a gym.
Hidden inside a subdivision is the Grand Highland Gold Course, a small 9 hole executive course that’s perfect for practicing your game when you’re short on time.
Hurontario has a large concentration of shopping and amenities located on Hurontario St. Everything from big box shopping, large and specialty grocery chains and retail. Also, the fact that the area is so close to SQ1 means you are never more than a few minutes from everything you could possibly need.
Hurontario is slightly higher than the Mississauga average price due to it’s location, however it is still affordable for the average family.
The value of the neighbourhood lies in it’s close access to the Mississauga City Centre. As the core of Mississauga develops further this neighbourhood will benefit. If the proposed Mississauga LRT is built, this will have a huge impact on Hurontario.
